DAY 2 | MARRAKECH – IMI OUGHLAD – TIZI OUSSEM
Early morning departure from Marrakech, heading toward the imposing Atlas Mountains. After approximately a 2-hour drive, we arrive at the small mountain village of Imi Oughlad (1357 m.a.s.l.), where our trek begins. The highlight of today’s hike is the Tizi N’Tacht Pass (2000 m.a.s.l.), after which the path descends again. Tonight’s accommodation is in Tizi Oussem (1720 m.a.s.l.). Trekking time: ~5h. [B, L, D]

DAY 3 | TIZI OUSSEM – TIZI MZIK – AROUMD
We continue our trek, beginning at Tizi Oussem (1720 m.a.s.l.), climbing toward the day’s highlight: the Tizi Mzik Pass (2479 m.a.s.l.), offering stunning views of several High Atlas peaks. In the afternoon, we descend to Aroumd (1900 m.a.s.l.), where we will stay overnight. Trekking time: ~7h. [B, L, D]

DAY 4 | AROUMD – SIDI CHAMHAROUCH – REFUGE DE TOUBKAL
Today, we head steadily upwards! Starting at Aroumd (1900 m.a.s.l.), the trail winds through the beautiful Mizane Valley to Sidi Chamharouch (2350 m.a.s.l.), home to one of the region’s spiritual sanctuaries (accessible only to Muslims). The climb becomes steeper as the trail zigzags toward our overnight stop at Refuge de Toubkal (3207 m.a.s.l.). Trekking time: ~5h. [B, L, D]

DAY 5 | REFUGE DE TOUBKAL – JEBEL TOUBKAL – AROUMD
The final push! We start early from Refuge de Toubkal (3207 m.a.s.l.). The climb is steep with challenging rocky terrain, but the hardest part is the battle with altitude as we approach the 4167-meter summit. Hydrating well, we climb steadily until we reach Jebel Toubkal’s peak. The views and sense of achievement make every challenge worthwhile. After celebrating the summit, we begin our descent back to Aroumd (1900 m.a.s.l.). Trekking time: ~10h. [B, L, D]

DAY 6 | AROUMD – IMLIL – MARRAKECH

After checking into our hotel, you’ll have free time to shop, explore the old town’s labyrinths, or relax at a traditional Moroccan spa. Overnight in Marrakech. Trekking time: ~1h. [B]

DAY 7 | DEPARTURE FROM MARRAKECH

ACCOMMODATION
In mountain villages, we stay in simple guesthouses where 4-8 participants share a room. Beds and blankets are provided, but you’ll need to bring a clean sheet or sleeping bag. Facilities (toilets and showers) are very basic, with cold water always available (hot water may not be).
In Marrakech, we stay in a riad – a traditional Moroccan house with a courtyard, offering standard European-style facilities (hot water, clean sheets, etc.).

BAG TRANSPORTATION
To make the trek more enjoyable, we ensure large bags are transported between overnight locations. Participants only carry essentials for the day (e.g., lunch, water, jacket, phone). Bags are transported by car (1st and 2nd day) and by mules (from the 3rd day onward). Bag weight limit: 12 kg.
During winter/spring months, participants may need to carry their own bags on the 3rd day if mules cannot proceed due to snow.
