Travel Info for European Citizens

European citizens do not need a visa to travel to Morocco. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your planned return date.
Non-citizen passport holders- do require a visa to enter Morocco.

Vaccinations:
No special vaccinations are required before traveling to Morocco.

Currency:
The national currency is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD).
There are two ways to obtain it:

Bring cash (EUR, USD or GBP) and exchange it locally at currency exchange points (which are widely available).

Bring a VISA or MASTERCARD – you can withdraw cash from ATMs, but card payments are generally not accepted in shops or restaurants.

It’s not recommended to buy or exchange Moroccan Dirhams outside of Morocco.
